JWood Raw Elementary School’s Aviation Program introduces students to the exciting world of flight, engineering, and exploration while honoring the legacy of the school’s namesake. Rooted in a spirit of innovation and perseverance, the program connects students to the history and impact of aviation through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

Students explore the fundamentals of flight, aircraft design, navigation, and aerospace technology while building critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. A highlight of the program is the opportunity to practice flying on the school’s two flight simulators, where students apply their knowledge in a realistic, age-appropriate environment.
